bauma China 2008 Gears Up For New Exhibitor Record

Libbey Inc (Toledo, OH, USA) posted sales increased 4.3% to US$187.3 million in the first quarter of 2008 from US$179.5 million in Q1 2007. Libbey reported a net loss of US$3.5 million for the first quarter ended 31 March 31 2008, compared to a net loss of US$1.8 million in Q1 2007.

RHI Group Raises EBIT Margin Again in Q1
RHI AG (Vienna, Austria), world market leader in refractories, raised its EBIT margin to 11.8% in the first quarter of 2008 despite the weak US dollar and ongoing high raw material and energy costs. This is primarily attributable to the exceptionally good business development in the Industrial Division.

KEMET Announces Resignation of EVP/CFO
KEMET Corporation (Greenville, SC, USA) has announced that David Gable, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, is resigning to pursue other interests. Mr Gable joined KEMET in 1998 as Corporate Controller and was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in 2003.
